Purpose
Clipsy promotes products their owners are allowed to promote and helps creators publish their own work. The rules below keep every video honest and inside the platforms' policies. They are enforced in the product where they can be, and by account action where they cannot.
No impersonation without consent
You may only use a real person's face, voice, or likeness with that person's recorded consent through Clipsy's consent flow. Brand mascots without a human face are exempt. Presenting a synthetic person as a real customer, employee, or public figure is prohibited.
No synthetic reviews or endorsements
No output may contain a synthetic consumer review, rating, or testimonial, or invent a testing period or result. The walkthrough angle is the owner speaking in the first person and is labelled as an AI demo on screen. This follows the FTC rule on consumer reviews, 16 CFR Part 465.
Only claims your product page makes
Scripts may state what your website or your own scripts state. Numbers need a source on your site. Clipsy rewrites unsupported claims to neutral wording and records the change; you must not put them back by hand.
Truthful, verifiable, nominative comparisons
A comparison may name a competitor only when your site names it or when Clipsy's sourced comparison table lists it. Comparisons state functional differences that can be checked, in neutral wording, and never disparage. This follows Directive 2006/114/EC on comparative advertising and the corresponding FTC rules.
No bulk copying
Only adapt a reference short when you own the necessary rights, have permission, or have a lawful basis for the use. Connecting a channel or acknowledging transformative use does not grant copyright permission. Copying another creator’s video byte for byte or in bulk is prohibited.
Platform rules
You are responsible for following the rules of every platform you publish to, including YouTube's inauthentic content policy of July 2025 and the TikTok and Meta policies on unoriginal or mass-produced content. Clipsy rotates hooks, structures, and styles so daily output is not templated, and it never publishes without your approval unless you turn on autopilot per channel.
Music
Use only tracks you own or hold a license for. Clipsy ships no music library and does not add trending audio.
Other prohibited uses
No content that is illegal where you or your audience are, no harassment, no adult content, no material that infringes someone else's rights, and no attempt to bypass the credit meter, rate limits, or consent checks.
Enforcement
Clipsy may reject a script, hold a publish, disable a channel, or suspend an account when this policy is broken. Credits held by a rejected job are released. Where a report from a platform or a person shows a serious breach, Clipsy may remove content and refuse further service.
